TORI AND DEAN GET MY GROSS OUT AWARD OF THE MONTH!

I wanted to ralph when 'The Beckhams' were shoved down my throat in July of 2007 and almost a year later comes this: "Tori and Dean's Home Sweet Hollywood" on Oxygen. I generally don't keep up with current pop culture and I actually make every effort to keep uninformed and out of touch (have never even touched the cover of an 'in touch' magazine). However, posters of this new series are all over the city, even on the ceiling of some public transport. It's a larger image where you can see that they stuffed their child into checkerboard vans while standing on the red carpet with a rhinestone swish flashing in front of them with the show title, but this is the only copy of the poster I could find online. I don't want to be a hater, but since I have no designs on ever going to Hollywood I'm just going to say that I always thought Tori looked like a white doodie and I keep looking at dean's face and think that there is a face plate from under his eyes to his mouth holding back an alien or worms or both. Actually I'm pretty sure that Tori's an alien also, without the cover shell. People will like the show because they have rotten taste in dramatic entertainment or great taste in comedy. Anyone who thinks this whole thing is not scary is just trying to further their own social agenda, let's face it. Sorry to knock the poor child, but they should keep it out of the media anyway. R

I just figured it out! The queen who makes appearances in "What's The Matter With Helen?" was the director! Plus the director to a slew (harhar) of other horror movies (a ton actually). The gratuitously flamboyant and dashing queeny version Alfred Hitchcock has been discovered! At least click on his link to see a murdered Debbie Reynolds wallpaper!

WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH HELEN? LINK

A LOT. Same goes for the the production of this truly golden rotten movie from 1971 - one of my absolute favorites. For one, I love anything with Shelly Winters in it (even if she doesn't drown in the film, which she usually does). I've been considering a tattoo of her name written in the font from the band Judas Priest, but someone told me I should get one of her swimming underwater in the Poseidon Adventure.

The plot is totally out there: The mothers of two convicted male teenage murderers (Shelly Winters & Debbie Reynolds) just sort of bump into each other and become friends while sharing a cab home from their prospective sons murder trials! I always thought this was a gay couple subtext because they go on and on with each other about trying to accept their two murderous sons and how they don't understand it, yet love them. From the start of the movie, Shelly had received a cut on her hand from a mad stalker while trying to struggle out of the courthouse. The two women take the cab in the middle of the night to Debbie's place, which is a children's dance studio. They get creepy threatening calls and see a creepy man across the street in a raincoat. They decide that the only thing to do is to join forces and start a new life.. SO they move to Hollywood and open a little girls Shirley Temple dance school!!! Unfortunately, Shelly can't hold it together and nuts up throughout the movie, climaxing during their Shirley Temple dance performance for the NRA!!!! (of course).
I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the latent dandy of a queen supporting role character actor who hams up the entire movie by creeping up on Shelly Winters over and over in the movie - to her terror - then he apologizes for startling her, asks her a mundane question and walks away! Work!
"Whoever Slew Auntie Roo" is on the other side of the cd, is rotted, but not as good.

THE BIG CUBE (1969) - LANA TURNER ON ACID

It's finally been converted to dvd and is available on Netlix. I saw it years ago at film forum and it was hilarious. Basically, two druggies have their eye on millions and scheme to dose Lana Turner with LSD in a sugar cube, have her committed and get her money! The best aspect of the movie is that everyone has dingy regular lighting on them, except Lana Turner who has a special key light with a soft focus that literally follows her everywhere on the sets - it's uncanny and totally obvious and ill! All other production flaws are hilarious and should go down in history.
I don't remember this comedic male striptease from the film, but was not surprised that it's initial cute quality was eventually bashed by a female stripper throwing a glass at him on the stage, to everyones delight and amusement. Typical of hippies and sexual revolution people.

At Burger King on Delancy 11 pm. I thought it was a gas when I heard that someone wanted to do it. I knew it would be tired but I'm glad people are doing something. I don't know if this slide.com thing is gonna stick with me. I didn't know many people there and actually neither did the host. My friends iphone screen is completely cracked. There was a little person there as well.
