POETRY BY MY SISTER A.N.EITEL

In the dark the golden see nothing
but the silliest thing I ever heard.
The faintest shadow
and everything shatters red and black.
The rain and the mud stick quickly
to every part and then nothing,
I am gone.

  1. I like a poem to rhyme.

    Sister
    Remember the old days?
Times were hard, we were poor
    You'd share my last cig
and I'd share your cold sore

    We'd share the same razor
    To shave our pits
    We shared the same comb
    Even shared the same nits

    She may never show it
    But she cares underneath
    She'd lend her last penny
    Even lend you her teeth

And at the end of the road
When we're too old to roam
    We'll share a commode
    In an old people's home
