I'm trying to seriously go into charity work and am in turn trying to learn as much as I can. Charitable and spiritual organizations often refer to 'service' and 'being of service'. I'm sorry, I'm Gay and came out at a very early age and have still not grown up enough so that every 1 in 3 times I hear 'service'... I'm sorry I'm going to giggle.

ReplyDeleteI cut out all the organization and time information from the flier for the blog, but I'll email you some different things. There's a lot of places out there that need help badly, but as a stranger and volunteer you (I) need to be patient it's a process and you aren't going to become one of Mother Teresa's sisters of mercy immediately. I may very well be sealing envelopes at this one place for a month, but hey, I'm not in it for the glory/recognition. What helps helps. Service. lol.
