LANA & BABOOSHKA

"Pardon me for staring, but... your bones..."
"What about them?"
"They're perfect."

Lana really got around in this movie.

Babooshka Yi Ya! Leaving Lana at the outdoor theater complex. She told me she was a lifelong Lana Turner fan and came expressly for this. God bless her.

"IMITATION OF LIFE" PLAYING OUTDOORS

I'm pretty sure it's the Lana Turner version playing. I love Claudette Colbert but the Lana Turner version is epic. Next tuesday August 26th at The Elevated Acre (55 Water St.), a piece of astro turf floating 6 stories above the highway with all the skyscrapers staring down at it. We saw a Kubrick film from the 50's this previous tuesday. We put a blanket out early, left it, and came back and it still wasn't crowded until the small films before the feature were playing. Bryant Park is just too much to deal with these days.

It's cool down there, come prepared...
