HAUGHTY WOMEN

haugh·ty
1. disdainfully proud; snobbish; scornfully arrogant; supercilious: haughty aristocrats; a haughty salesclerk.
2. Archaic. lofty or noble; exalted.

(Remember, we're talking about haughty not wicked. That's a whole other look and it's been covered.)

She a haughty! I like the haughty women. The haughty woman is always depicted as a bitter shallow vain hen, often with money and possessing only cruel and greedy intentions. They almost always have a bustle in the back of their dress. They are often old maids or have a totally passive miserable husband (with money). I think this whole haughty woman thing is so dismissive of these women. When will they come out with the sexy hen movie? It would mobilize the dark side of mom power. How can you blame someone for being exalted? I mean really. R

Yes, I sat in the woods in the middle of nowhere taking pictures of Mrs.Olson off of the local TV.

Haughty women always end up depicted in some humiliating slapstick situation as a result of their passions or evil ways.

About Nellie Olson (Alison Arngrim). There's a Fantasy Island with Alison Arngrim starring with Eve Plumb (Jan Brady). Eve plays a woman who goes to Fantasy Island to go back in time as a stranger and stop her daughter (played by A.A.) from being a prostitute in the 'pimpin 70's! SO surreal.

I loved Harriet and Nelly Olesen, they were my favourite characters in the show. Nelly didn't deserve the ridicule and abuse she got from that simmpering little bitch and do gooder Laura Ingles.
The Iittle House On The Prairie box set is definetly on my christmas list this year.

I love the one where Nellie sits in a wheelchair and pretends she's crippled so she can get gifts and Laura has to assist her.
