RECESSION JEWELRY SPECIAL

I was on Delancey and there was this penny being kicked around in the traffic booming off the bridge and I made them stop causing all sorts of honking and screaming. Got it. My penny. This poor little bebe had been so beaten up and mangled that you could barely see it. It wasn't like a smooth faded worn penny either, all gashes. This created a sort of beveled reflective quality I have only seen on really trashy diamond cut gold ghetto jewelry. I took it into a jeweler on Delancey street and had him drill a hole (sorry Lincoln - you got it again in the head), put a bail through it and gold plate it and string it on the sleaziest little beveled chain I could get. I love broken things. You can't kill beauty.

Wow. That is actually all kinds of gorgeous.
By the way, you have inspired me to resurrect the word 'gash,' only I'll be using a slightly different definition.

Ladies freak out if you use that one beware.
