What's with the cellophane?

Well, they do tape & package you in these sort of square diaper-like absorbent pads afterwards to go home. About 5 hours later or so you take them off and have a good soaking or long shower, then moisturize for 2 weeks 2x a day. This picture, however, is from before. I get a prescription from my doctor for Lidocaine ointment, which is a topical anesthesia. You put it on an hour ahead and I had often heard that if you put it on and saran wrap it for an hour, the ointment doesn't evaporate as much and your skin absorbs it on a greater level. So that's what I do. Since I was having an area done above my clavicle below my chin I had t make this sort of fanned sleeve affair. Back in the day in the clubs, we all wore a plastic wrap outfit at least once!

Grit your teeth and think of handbags! As my first lover once said to me.

I will never forget that saying! Perhaps scary to say but I've removed myself enough that even without the topical anesthesia I zone out lower my heart rate stay perfectly still and listen to my ipod. If I ever do open my eyes there's always 1-3 people standing looking over me, like waking up during surgery.

Divine Miss M:
I thought yu might like the griffin & lion-serpent - not to generalize according to nation and your being Brittish - but the regal pagentry of it all!

I do like them very much, but I didn't like to say in case I developed a fetish for heraldic symbols. It's very similar to the emblem depicted on the £1 coin. I noticed the Tudor Roses too.

Ok, that's an impressive commitment. What's the name of the lion critter with the fish tail? There are humungous slabs of the web given over to heraldic nomenclature: it's a bastid to do searching once you get anywhere outside of bestiaries and into the family crest stuff.
